well thats a good try, but you gotta get these commercial type shots to be in crisp focus... something like this has to be perfect...
some things to work on:
the background should be going straight across, rather than back into perspective.. this needs to look like a studio setting and this looks more like a "quick" setup with a piece of cloth.... make it neater...
next, make sure your lighting is even across the board...dramatic lighting or even varied lighting is just going to distract from the focal point... these shots just need to be simple, straight, and clean
and the biggest thing you can do to make this better is very very very very simple... close your aperture!!! f5.6 is WAY too large of an aperture for this.... even if you do get the focus in the right spot, there is not nearly enough depth of field (with that focal length and from that distance its around only a few inches) ... so what you can do is simply make your exposure at about 1/250 @f11 ... maybe even f16 ... (its OK to underexpose digital...the information will still be there in photoshop...adjust accordingly) you can use 1/250 to freeze water (because youre using a flash... you may even get away with 1/125... im not sure as i havent done something like this in a while...)
but anyway, go back and try this again.. try close your aperture and get the whole thing in focus... your so close now to getting a great shot, you shouldnt just stop now...
